SubmissionsWe are currently only accepting electronic submissions. Please send submissions as attachments in either MS Word or Rich Text Format. All submissions should be emailed to us at iddie.submissions@gmail.com. The reading period for issue number 5 is March 15, 2009 to September 1, 2009. As we find ourselves dead broke most of the time, payment is in the form of our undying gratitude and the overwhelming joy and satisfaction you will feel at seeing your work displayed in our electronic pages. But if this isn’t quite enough, we do support our writers by providing links in their bios to other journals or publications in which they have appeared. Fiction SubmissionsSend one to two high quality, previously unpublished stories or prose pieces (up to 25 pages). Fiction submissions should be clean and well-polished.Please include “Fiction” in the subject line of the email. Poetry SubmissionsSend up to three poems (up to 10 pages). Poetry submissions should be sent as you would like them to appear.Please include “Poetry” in the subject line of the email. Creative Non-Fiction SubmissionsSend one to two high quality, previously unpublished pieces (up to 25 pages). Creative Non-Fiction submissions should be clean and well-polished.Please include “CNF” in the subject line of the email. We do allow simultaneous submissions, but request that you let us know right away if your work is accepted elsewhere. By submitting your work, you acknowledge that all work is the original work of the author and that, if accepted, iddie obtains First North American Serial and/or Electronic Rights. All rights revert back to the author upon publication. After initial publication, the author’s work will not be reprinted by iddie; however, each issue will be archived and accessible for viewing on our website. Please allow 6-8 weeks for a response. |
