Being an artist in most respects of the word, I enjoy experiencing the world in unique ways. I paint, draw, dance, sing, play guitar, sculpt, and engage in photography. I find that the best inspiration is always closer than originally thought. Some of the best times in my life have been on road trips, where I experience the natural world. I love seeing things in their environment and the juxtaposition of being out of a "normal" comfort zone. Being able to see my own view of the world and sharing the idea of creativity or creation are the reasons I make art. Art, to me, is anything that has been created or the process of creating. Not that all art is good, but that all things can be appreciated for their value. Some think I live in an idealist optimistic world, but I am no stranger to cynicism or difficulties. I know that without the bad, there would not be the extent of good and beauty we do have. Beauty is born of struggle. I choose to recognize the process and the outcome, not just the end result. So enjoy the journey and the destination, and go somewhere you wouldn't normally go.
