Mel Kenne is a poet who teaches in the American Culture and Literature department at Kadir Has University in Istanbul. Four collections of his poetry have been published, one of which, South Wind, won the 1984 Austin Book Award. A fifth collection, Fault Line, will be published by Yapi Kredi Yayinlari in Istanbul later this year.
